Upcoming Changes for WVCHIP

The West Virginia Children’s Health Insurance Program (WVCHIP) will be joining the West Virginia Mountain Health Trust (MHT) managed care program effective January 1, 2021. WVCHIP is making this change to better assist with your child’s heath care needs. Under Mountain Health Trust, you will choose a managed care organization (MCO) and a primary care physician (PCP). MCOs help ensure your child receives scheduled preventive care and coordinates other health care needs of your child. For more information, see the Member and Provider tabs.

Upcoming Changes for WVCHIP
WVCHIP will be joining the WV Mountain Health Trust (MHT) managed care program January 1, 2021.

UPDATE: Premium payments and medical copayments continue to be waived during the State of Emergency. Prescription copays returned June 15, 2020.
All PREMIUM payments and CoPayments for Medical services continue to be WAIVED during the State of Emergency due to the Coronavirus COVID-19.

Provider Relief Fund: CHIP & Medicaid Providers: DEADLINE JULY 20, 2020 HRSA has created a factsheet that provides information on how Medicaid and CHIP providers can receive benefits from the Provider Relief Fund.
