In response to the global impact of the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE), the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) will continue Medicaid and WVCHIP healthcare coverage for individuals, families, and children through the end of the month in which the COVID-19 PHE ends and will close coverage only for a limited number of reasons, regardless of changes in your circumstances. We value our citizens and hope these changes will lessen some of your concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic.

WVCHIP will be
joining the West Virginia Mountain Health Trust (MHT) managed care program
