May 18, 2020 - The West Virginia Medicaid and WVCHIP programs are extending March, April, May, and June 2020 redetermination periods for 12 additional months. West Virginia is determined to protect and ensure program recipients have access to healthcare should you require treatment.
No additional action is required at this time to maintain your benefits.

If you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, call your doctor for guidance before taking action. One of the greatest dangers associated with COVID-19 is that hospital emergency departments will be overwhelmed. Individuals experiencing mild symptoms (fever, cough, other cold like symptoms) call your doctor before taking other actions. Emergency rooms are for emergencies only

WVCHIP is not charging premiums throughout the COVID-19 crisis. The online premium payment system has been taken down during this time. The system will become available once the emergency has been lifted.
